DrakeAI vs YNAB: Which One Is Actually Worth It

These are very different products and the comparison only makes sense if you know what you're actually trying to do.

YNAB is a full budgeting system. Zero-based budgeting, every dollar assigned, weekly reconciliation, the whole thing. It costs $15/month or $99/year. The people who use it seriously get real results. It's a commitment though - not just an app you open occasionally, it's a system you run. I tried it for a few weeks and bounced off the learning curve. Might try again someday with more patience.

DrakeAI is not a budgeting system. There's no budget to build, no allocation, no reconciliation. You type what you spent and it tracks it. No bank sync, free. It's closer to a spending journal with automatic categorization than to what YNAB is trying to do.
