Copilot Money Is Great - If You Have an iPhone. What About Android?

Every personal finance forum eventually recommends Copilot and every Android user has to find out the hard way it's iOS only.

Copilot is consistently well reviewed - design is excellent, bank sync is reliable, the AI categorization is better than most. I get why it's recommended. It just doesn't run on Android and hasn't for the years I've been following it.

The company has mentioned Android at various points. Still not out. Maybe eventually. For now, Android users are waiting.

What Android users actually have: Monarch Money works well and is the most Copilot-like in terms of being a polished sync app, costs $10/month. YNAB works on Android but is a different kind of product. DrakeAI is Android native, free, no bank sync - manual entry.

The gap between iOS and Android in personal finance apps is real. It's not just Copilot - a few others launched iOS first and never got to Android. The argument is that iOS users spend more on apps so it's the better market to build for first. Maybe true but it's frustrating from the Android side.

If you're Android and want something close to what Copilot offers: Monarch is the answer, just with a subscription cost. If you want free: DrakeAI is what I use, different approach but works. Neither is Copilot. That's kind of the honest situation.
