Mint got progressively worse over the last two years and I couldn't be bothered to switch. Kept using it out of habit even as the sync broke more often and the app got slower. The shutdown honestly wasn't a surprise, it had felt like an abandoned product for a while.
Tried YNAB. Nope. Too much. The system makes sense conceptually but I'm not allocating budgets every week, I just want to look at what I spent. Cancelled after maybe three weeks.
Monarch was actually decent except... idk, I used the trial and thought "yeah this is good" and then couldn't convince myself to pay monthly for it when I hadn't even fully decided if I'd actually use the features. Did this thing where I kept the tab open for two weeks telling myself I'd subscribe and then just didn't.
I'm on DrakeAI now, which tbh was not what I expected to end up on. No bank sync, you type things manually. My reaction when I first tried it was "this is like going backward 10 years" but somehow I've actually kept using it. Four months now which is longer than I expected. Entry is faster than I thought it would be.
The six years of Mint data is in a CSV on my desktop. Haven't really needed it. I thought I would.
I dunno. If you're still looking - don't expect to find something that works exactly like Mint. The economics of that product died with it.
